2014 Hawai'i State Teacher of the Year

Matthew Lawrence of Waikiki Elementary School has been named the 2014 Hawai‘i State Teacher of the Year. The state's top teaching award is presented annually to a classroom teacher selected from more than 11,000 educators within the Hawaii State Department of Education. Matthew has been incorporating p4c Hawai‘i into his classroom for more than twelve years and was one of the Waikiki Elementary School teachers chosen to share p4c Hawai‘i with schools and educators in Japan. Learn more about his award here.
