Dr. Makaiau at September 13 Ceeds of Peace Workshop

 Dr. Amber Strong Makaiau will be a guest speaker at the first of six Ceeds of Peace workshops scheduled for this school year.Ceeds of Peace provide a 360° approach to raising peacebuilders, transforming communities by creating safe and thriving homes and schools. Dr. Makaiau will be speaking about the p4cHI approach to education, how the p4cHI approach was used to create violence prevention ethnic studies course at Kailua High School, and Teaching Tolerance’s new Perspectives for a Diverse America literacy-based anti-bias curriculum. Dr. Makaiau’s presentation will focus on the relationship between p4cHI, multicultural and culturally responsive approaches to education and peacebuilding. Please see the
